Privacy should describe a data flow—not ask for blind trust.
Virise is being built so the most sensitive records can deliver their core value on your device, without an account. This page distinguishes App records from ordinary website and purchase infrastructure.
At a glance
1. Sensitive App records
Records such as urges, check-ins, lapses, triggers, sexual activity, cycle dates, LH status, health notes, pregnancy-planning events, and the personal reason you enter for changing are designed to stay on your device by default. The core experience does not require a Virise account.
Local-first storage means Virise cannot silently recover those records from our server after you lose, replace, or erase a device. A future user-initiated encrypted export will let you choose where a backup is stored. It will not create a hidden Virise copy.
Device protection
The App can use the operating system’s authentication prompt, such as Face ID or the device passcode, to lock access. Virise receives the authentication result; it does not receive or store your face data. You control whether this lock is enabled.
2. Optional operational events
If enabled, the App may send a minimal event such as app opened, onboarding completed, SOS completed, or paywall viewed. These events are intended to omit the content of your sensitive entries, free-text notes, exact cycle dates, sexual activity, and your personal reason for changing.
The planned Privacy Dashboard will show the event category and example payload. Optional operational analytics can be turned off without deleting the local record or losing core App access.
3. Email and launch messages
Email is voluntary and separate from the sensitive App record. If you join a launch list or request product updates, the email service will process your address and delivery status. We do not attach your check-ins, cycle history, triggers, notes, or sexual-health records to that address.
Every marketing message will include an unsubscribe method. Declining email does not prevent core App use.
4. Purchases
Apple, Google, and the App’s purchase-entitlement provider process information required to complete, validate, and restore purchases. Virise does not receive your full payment-card number. An anonymous entitlement identifier may be used to tell the App whether Pro access is active.
Exact provider names, links, retention terms, and store disclosures will be updated before the public paid release.
5. This website
This website does not ask you to enter sensitive health records and does not create a Virise account. We use Vercel Web Analytics to see aggregate page views and referral sources so we can understand which pages are useful and where the download journey needs work.
For an analytics visit, Vercel may process the time, requested page or route, referrer, filtered query parameters, general location derived from the request, operating system, browser, and device type. Web Analytics does not use cookies or retain an IP address. It creates a non-reversible visitor hash from request information and resets that hash every 24 hours. We currently measure page views only and do not send custom event payloads.
Analytics does not receive App check-ins, urges, lapses, cycle dates, LH status, sexual activity, health notes, email addresses, or anything you type into the App. Separately, hosting and security providers may process standard request information, including an IP address, requested URL, time, browser type, and security signals, to deliver and protect this website.
The website contains no advertising network or third-party behavioral tracking pixel. If that changes, this page and any required consent controls will be updated before collection begins.
6. Sharing and sale
Virise does not sell sensitive records or use them for targeted advertising. Service providers may process the limited categories described above only to provide the relevant service, such as hosting, email delivery, purchase validation, or security.
7. Your controls
- Delete local records from within the App.
- Disable optional operational analytics.
- Decline or unsubscribe from email.
- Choose whether to use the system App lock.
- Initiate an export only when you want to share or back up data.
Because core records remain on your device, Virise cannot look them up by email or delete a server copy that does not exist. Deleting the App before creating a supported backup may permanently remove local data.
8. Children, changes, and contact
Virise is not directed to children under 13. Local law or store rules may require a higher minimum age for some regions or features. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account because the core App has no account.
Material changes will be dated and explained here. The final legal operator identity will be added before public release.
The public privacy address is being verified. We will publish it here before TestFlight access opens rather than present an unverified placeholder as a working contact.
